Kristal LeBlanc is a courageous and visionary leader in the field of gender-based violence. Her career began during her graduate studies at UPEI, where her research exposed major gaps in services for women over 55 experiencing intimate partner violence. Since then, she has published influential academic work, supported victims across Greater Moncton, and led the expansion of the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre. As Executive Director, Kristal created New Brunswick’s first trauma-specialized Courage Centre, a 19,000 sq. ft. hub offering integrated legal, medical, housing, and counselling services. She also established the province’s first Justice Facility Dog Program, helping more than 200 children and adults testify with strength and dignity. Kristal continues to innovate through the development of Little Courageous, a trauma-specialized daycare, and OHANA, a supervised family access centre. Fierce, compassionate, and dedicated, Kristal has transformed countless lives across Southeast New Brunswick.
À titre de directrice générale, Kristal a créé le premier Centre Courage spécialisé en traumatologie au N.-B., un espace de 19 000 pi² offrant des services intégrés juridiques, médicaux, résidentiels et psychologiques. Elle a également mis sur pied le premier programme de chiens d’assistance judiciaire de la province, aidant plus de 200 enfants et adultes à témoigner avec courage et dignité. Kristal continue d’innover grâce à Little Courageous, une garderie spécialisée en traumatologie, et OHANA, un centre supervisé d’accès familial. Déterminée, compatissante et inspirante, Kristal a transformé d’innombrables vies dans le Sud-Est du Nouveau-Brunswick. |
